Hi everyone, welcome to The Doctors’ Mess – a place for GP registrars to connect, share, and support each other throughout training.

This is your space to:

• Ask questions (clinical, portfolio, AKT, SCA, or day-to-day GP life)
• Share experiences and practical tips
• Offer advice to colleagues at different stages of training
• Discuss challenges and learn from each other

Whether you’re ST1 and finding your feet, or ST3 preparing for CCT, everyone has something valuable to contribute.

• Be respectful and supportive
• Keep discussions professional
• Do not share any patient-identifiable information
• Avoid naming specific practices, colleagues, or sensitive local details
• Focus on learning, not venting in a way that could breach professionalism

We want this to feel like a real doctors’ mess - somewhere you can ask questions openly, get honest answers and advice, and feel part of a wider community.
